Two ways to make an AI agent free
Model time costs money, so a free agent has to be paid for somehow. Freebuff's home page is direct about its model: “funded by ads”, with text ads supporting the included models, plus paid plans. OmniRush is funded by brand ads, and data use described in our privacy policy. Freebuff's README and privacy policy say it may use your data for advertising and to train the models that choose ads, and may sell data from models labelled for training. Read both policies before you choose.

Models and what they are good for
Freebuff's allowance is measured in hours and depends on the model. On its pricing page, the free plan's 30 daily hours apply to MiMo v2.6 Flash in its slow mode; the same day buys 15 hours on the fast mode, 10 on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, or 2 on Claude Haiku 5.5. These are fast, low-cost models, a sensible fit for quick edits and lots of iteration. Its README also lists GPT-6 Luna and limited daily sessions of flagship models such as GPT-6.1 Sol.
OmniRush serves frontier models: GPT 6 Astra (the default), GPT 6.1 Sol and GPT 6 Sol, with GPT 6 Astra the default for every chat. Frontier models are built for long, multi-step work, such as tracing a bug across a codebase or a refactor across many files; flash models trade some of that depth for speed. Try both on your own task. OmniRush does not publish its allowance as a number of hours; the Growth page shows how much is used in total.
What each does with your data
Freebuff's new privacy policy (published October 18, effective November 12, 2026) says it may use prompt and project data to personalise advertising, and may sell data submitted through models or features labelled for AI training. Its README says it does not give separately uploaded files, project files or connected repositories to advertising providers.
OmniRush is funded by brand ads, and data use described in our privacy policy.
Features
- Freebuff: five products (desktop, CLI, web, cloud and chat), built by the Codebuff team, and a desktop app that can also run Claude Code and Codex agents you already have an account for.
- OmniRush: a desktop app with swarm agents (several agents on one task, one summary), a terminal agent built on opencode, a Linux sandbox per project, built-in best-practice guides, and an allowance that refills daily without hours or credits to track.
- OmniRush has no mobile app, no web chat and no IDE extension.
Which one should you use?
- Freebuff fits if you want many hours a day of fast models, a web or mobile client, or a paid plan for more usage.
- OmniRush fits if you want frontier GPT models for harder work without paying.
- Neither is right for confidential work. Use a paid tool with a no-training commitment for that.

Which should I use for big refactors?
